The White Files x Cathleen Jia

What happens when you have a spontaneous desire to create something beautiful? Plan an impromptu shoot on the weekend of course! That’s what happened when I found out Cathleen Jia was releasing her 2017 collection ‘Love Struck’. So I did a call out to a bunch of creatives who were equally keen to create something beautiful at the spur of the moment. And that’s how this shoot was born…

The shoot was captured to perfection by Blossom Daisy Creative. Her incredible work speaks for itself…

The gorgeous Brooke Mcauley from Silhouette was the stunning muse for this shoot. Brooke is a ballerina which translated to her moving beautifully in front of the camera with the most incredible elegance.

The incredibly talented Taleah Lancaster created two bouquets, each as gorgeous as the other, as well as set up a floral installation in Cathleen’s studio as a focal backdrop.

It should be no secret by now that I consider Natalie Jaye the queen of the perfect tousled waves. She made Brooke’s hair effortlessly chic to match the warehouse glam vibe.

The ethereal makeup was by the Mornington based makeup artist Cate Laing. She achieved the impossible of making Brooke’s face even more photograph perfect by highlighting her natural beauty.

The accessories were from Jeanette Maree. I can never seem to get enough of her incredible pieces and find any excuse I can to shoot them!

Keep your eyes peeled to the blog to see more of Cathleen Jia’s “Love Struck” collection.
