& FOR LOVE – Sydney Pop Up

Global bridal brand & FOR LOVE is dedicated to the high style, chilled out bride. And that makes complete sense when you find out that the designer and creative director, Angel Spendlove, spent her childhood in Australia. In fact, these Australian roots always inform part of her inspiration behind her stunning collections.

This season, she took many of her most recognisable signatures fabrics and added some new silhouettes to her newest collection inspired by the infamous cult novel and later film, “Picnic At Hanging Rock”.

“ I’ve always wanted to do this collection and it’s been in the back of my mind for a few years now, and I knew when I did do it I’d have to come back home to shoot it,” the Toronto based designer explains.
“However, I really wanted to turn this story on its head a little and edge it up. I didn’t want it to just look like period costumes from the TV show or make what was expected. The story has some dark undertones so I was pretty liberal with some of my interpretation.”

There has been a definitive ’80s vibe across the board this season, which is undoubtedly the designer’s sweet spot: Strong puff shoulders, nipped in waists, and fuller skirts have been added to the brand’s repertoire. However, Spendlove never loses sight of her signature aesthetic and cool-bride vibes, so you’ll find plenty of low open backs, fringing and modern details throughout the collection.

For a lucky few brides-to-be, & FOR LOVE will be in Sydney Nov 15-17th taking bridal appointments at La Porte space hosted by Love Find Co. Each bride who orders a gown at the Sydney pop up will also receive a complimentary custom denim bridal jacket valued at $450. We hear there are only a handful of appointments left so don’t wait to book!
