It’s nearly spring time, what’s not to love?! The weather is warming up and stunning bridal collections are being released. Today I’m excited to share the Bo & Luca Spring/Summer 2020 collection, Ophelia’s Memoir, an ode to a timeless heroine.
Ophelia’s Memoirs celebrates the artistry and perfect imperfection of hand-beading on sensual silks and chiffon. In a world of fast fashion and machine made pieces, Bo & Luca have continued to stay true to their roots as they lovingly hand-dying each piece in loose-leaf White tea before hand-beading the gowns using the ancient Indian art of Tambour.
Along with her team, Bo & Luca Creative Director, Shannon Pittman has delved into new found creative realms with a more alluring and sensual approach to the bohemian style which first landed her brand on the bridal map.
The delicately hand beaded gowns in this collection are lent a touch of whimsy and alluring refinement with silhouettes that softly fall over the body; easy to wear and non-constricting.
Modern yet romantic brides will fall in love with these hand-beaded designs that are woven over diaphanous, sheer silks and delicate fabrics.
There is a strong 70s influence evident in the collection with billowy, voluminous sleeves, pussy bow necklines and tasseled trimmings, while daringly low open backs are balanced out long sleeves and demure Victoriana necklines to keep the looks elegant and refined.
