One Fine Day – Sydney Editorial Inspired by 2017 Trends

Incase you are newly engaged or haven’t heard about One Fine Day, the girls at OFD create my favourite Australian Wedding Fair – it’s a beautifully curated event showcasing the best of the best wedding vendors across Australia.

They take the hard work out of planning a fresh, creative & fun wedding day by having the perfect vendors all there under one roof. Guests are welcomed with a glass of champagne, inspiration and an incredible day out for creative couples to find their perfect vendors for the planning of their big day.

verawang_3Bows aren’t a new thing in bridal trends however designers like Vera Wang are incorporating bows into a point of difference and a statement like this black bow on the shoulder. Vera Wang has also incorporated it into her wedding dress which is Look 5 with a black ribboned belt.

One Day Bridal

One Day Bridal is known for their incredibly chic & high fashion gowns and this sequinned number has not let us down. This look is the perfect gown for a ‘second’ gown option to change into half way through your night and let your hair down to dance. The metallic sequins are not only a major trend in every day fashion, but now a way to incorporate into your big day.

Unbridaled by Dan Jones

This simplistic & chic side one shoulder bell sleeve gown by Unbridaled by Dan Jones adds a little bit of difference to a simple gown silhouette. A centre front split is a huge trend for 2017 and Dan has designed this gown with an incredible split. This trend not only gives brides a chance to show off a statement heel but it is also a different take on the bohemian trend of 2016 & 2015.

Vera Wang has once again blown our minds with her signature full tulle skirt. This gown is bohemian & feminine incorporated one gown.  The sheer netting of the long sleeves is perfect alternative for a bride who needs her shoulders covered. This gown has elements of a ballerina and the black sash around the waist adds a little bit more sophistication.   verawang_6 verawang_5 verawang_4 verawang_2

One of the most talented Australian designers Karen Willis Holmes has nailed it again with this Skirt & Top Combo. The lace top is the perfect option for a more bohemian bride, and pairing it with a simplistic centre front split makes the overall look more modern & classic. karenwillisholmes_2 karenwillisholmes_1

Mira Mandic has incorporated beautiful french lace into a simplistic & chic design. This gown has an incredible deep V back with a lace train that is all things modern.

For 2017 their new Sydney home is The Cutaway, Barangaroo. This venue is a super sized concrete void that is hidden away beneath the artificial hill that is now home to Sydney’s new native botanic garden. The Cutaway has a gigantic sandstone wall with a open roof that will be a focal point to our Runway Show.

Under the creative eye of PV Hair & Makeup, the team used  gold & metallic tones in the makeup and pairing with a messy beach wave.

Sydney based florist, Aleksandra created a beautiful bouquet of long stem peonies & roses with different tones of crisp white & cream florals.
