Statement earrings are trending in a big way this upcoming wedding season – here is my guide on how to wear them to make a statement for all the right reasons with your bridal earrings.
We’ve seen pearls come back into the spotlight and they don’t show any indication of going anywhere! These are perfectly suited for weddings as a traditional element, but a modern life has been given to them so embrace both the classic and reinterpreted looks.
Joining pearls in my trending list are ear climbers and huggers, as well as the reemergence of ear cuffs. These styles are the perfect unconventional addition to your bridal look and add a subtle nod to rebellion.
With this, the asymmetrical and mismatched bridal earring trend will be born! Whether you heavily layer up one ear and just have a simple stud in the other, or have the side that your hair is swept away from adorned with a statement cuff, with a simple fitting in the other – this bridal look is one of my favourites.
Hoops have come out from the 90s to say hello but in a more classy way – with the addition of pearls and other gorgeous details to soften the solid hoop look. The more oversized the better if you ask me!
Resin and acrylic earrings have also been around for a season now – they’re not my favourite statement look as I think they’ll age quickly – but elements of them paired with more classic look (think marble looking discs in a classic gold setting) can be a perfect way to introduce them seamlessly into your bridal look.
Go bold or go home with bridal earring looks this season, but make sure they include elements that are timeless and never date. Statement earrings no doubt add to your bridal look but make sure it’s for a good reason in the decades to come.
