Summer in Perth

There’s something really special about Perth in summer. The city comes alive, with pop up bars, blissful beach days and my very favourite – Fringe World. So here are my top tips for getting out and about to enjoy the beautiful city many of you are lucky enough to call home!

Fringe World

Just head on down to The Pleasure Garden and you get whisked away into another world. There’s something for everyone – real life mermaids for the kids and pop up bars for the bigger kids.

The festival line up as always is EPIC. But my pick of the bunch is VELVET – a divine discotheque circus.

It’s a spectacular homage to the disco age that encapsulates all the things I love most about Fringe. It has the circus, dazzling acrobats, disco divas – all wrapped together in the most extraordinary cabaret.

It’s in Perth for a strictly limited season from 20 January 17. So get down to Fringe and don’t miss this opportunity to rediscover the disco inferno that is VELVET!

Elizabeth Quay

If you haven’t had the chance to get down and check out Elizabeth Quay, I recommend you grab your phone – text your girlfriends and plan to go tomorrow.

If you’re there for brunch – check out the incredible Isle of Voyage. The interior is seriously instagramable, and the coffee gives Melbourne a run for it’s money.

If you’re there a bit later in the day check out Embargo Container Bar. With Perth’s weather being so consistently amazing, it’s only logical to go to a bar outside and enjoy in the sunshine.

The Beach

I never realised until I moved away from Perth how incredibly lucky I was to have some of the worlds best beaches right at my doorstep. So whenever I get home I purposely plan everything around the beach. Whether you pick to go to City Beach, Cott, Trigg or Scarborough – you really can’t go wrong!
