The season of love is well and truly here! In addition to all the weddings that are on where you get to celebrate love, there’s more than a few proposals happening over Christmas, New Years and Valentine’s Day…
Many of you will be starting to hunt for that perfect dress, only to realise that sometimes everything is just too much. I always have brides tell me that they feel so much pressure to meet everyone’s expectation, when really they’d be perfectly happy in a simple, minimalist dress that they can wear rather than it wear them.
I’ve just stumbled across a Polish designer, Agata Wojtkiewicz, who designs for brides seeking relief and freedom from often restricting conventional norms. Her latest collection ‘Hey LOVE!’ is a tribute to freedom and pure love. The gowns are simple, gentle form fitting designs with soft and natural fabrics all made for life in the big city.
The shoot represents all the freedom of choice that this label embodies – you have the power to do anything you desire and more. Whether you want to be feminine and romantic or put on a baseball cap for an edgier look and blend in with the crowded city. You can celebrate your first moments as newlyweds by eating a slice of pizza in the middle of a busy street and still feel like a million dollars.
These dresses don’t make you feel stiff and lets you still feel like you. The bottom line is it’s not really about the dress. It’s about the feeling of love, happiness and joy.
